So, on your request I’m going to share my next blog that is TENDER HOMEMADE PERI PERI CHICKEN (WITH SAUCE) | May 2021
Here’s an easy homemade Peri Peri Chicken recipe (with sauce!) that gives the most tender, juicy results. This recipe requires 10 simple ingredients and any cut of bone-in chicken (leg quarters, thighs, or whole chicken pieces). chicken (with boan) 1kg
Peri Peri Sauce 1
Red Capsicum 140 – 170g
Lemon juice ¼ cup
Apple cider vinegar 2 table spoons
Oil 2 table spoons
Garlic 8 cloves
Peri Peri Spice powder 2 table spoons
Red chilli powder 1 1/2 table spoons
Red chili flakes 1 table spoon
Oregano 1 table spoon
Black pepper 1 tea spoon
Black sugar 2 tea spoons
Salt 2 1/4 tea spoons
Oil or as needed 2-3 table spoon
Mayonnaise ¼ cup
Yogurt ¼ cup
Heavy cream ¼ cup
HOW TO MAKE IT:-
1)Preheat oven to 450°F/232°C. Place the red Capsicum, cut side down, put it on an aluminum foil and Roast for 40 minutes, flipping both pieces over midway. The red Capsicum will wilt and blacken.
2)with the help of knife 3-5 slits into each chicken piece and place it in a large bowl.
3)Add the roasted red capsicum along with the rest of the ingredients listed under ‘Peri Peri Sauce’ to a food processor. Blend it until it becomes smooth
4)Reserve 1/3-cup of the sauce, then pour the remaining sauce onto the chicken. Mix well to make sure the chicken is thoroughly coated.
5) Cover it and put it in refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, ideally overnight. (If you’re short on time, skip the longer marination and continue with subsequent step.)
6) When able to cook, take chicken out from fridge and permit it at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 350°C.
7) and now , heat stovetop grill pan over medium-high to high heat. When stovetop grill pan becomes hot then brush or spray with oil and add the chicken pieces.
8)Discard any leftover marinade. Grill the chicken, pressing down thereon to extend grill marks, for 4 minutes all sides , or until charred or browned on each side . Discard any leftover marinade.
9)Place the chicken pieces side by side on a oven-safe pan or roaster. Cover the pan tightly with aluminium foil and place the baking dish on the middle rack of the oven. Roast it for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken becomes completely cook.
10) and now , mix remaining sauce with mayonnaise or your choice of something creamy dilute the sauce.
11)Taste and adjust salt, mayo to mellow it out, or sugar for sweetness. Brush the sauce over the chicken. Serve immediately with French fries, rice, cole slaw, corn on the cob, or your choice of sides.
