Dahi Vada

Best and Easy Way to Make Soft Dahi Vada | 2022

Ingredients:-

  • Urad Dal – 200 ml
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 tea spoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

For Yogurt / Curd Mixture:-

  • Yogurt / Curd – 4 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar
  • Cumin powder – 114 tea spoon
  • Chili powder – 1/4 tea spoon

For Serving:- 

  • Green chutney & Tamarind date chutney Recipe [CLICK HERE]
  • Cumin powder Chili powder
  • Chopped Coriander leaves

Method to Make :

  1. Soak urad dal in water for 7 hours.
  2. Blend to a smooth fluffy batter.
  3. To the batter add cumin seeds, salt and mix well.
  4. Beat the batter till it become light and fluffy.
  5. Heat oil for frying and slowly drop the small amount of batter.
  6. Fry till it becomes golden colour.
  7. Add the vadas to water and soak for 10 minutes.
  8. In a bowl add yogurt / curd and beat till it smooth.
  9. Add salt, sugar, cumin powder, chili powder and mix well.
  10. Squeeze out excess water of all the vadas and drop in the yogurt / curd mixture.
  11. Refrigerate it for one hour.

Serving:

  1. Place 2 to 3 vadas in a serving plate or bowl, top it with green chutney, tamarind date chutney, sprinkle some cumin powder, chili powder and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves And sev.
